Wow what an incredible and sad story. I knew Edward Mortimer became Glyn Dwr's son in law, but nothing about his wife and family. Such a brave lady. Such a tragic end. Thank you.😢

Thank you for sharing the story of this brave and tragic woman. I had never come across her before but she seems to have gone through so much, even in such a short life.

As I started reading your post it dawned on me she is a character in Shakespeare’s Henry IV, part 1 and she speaks Welsh. It’s a small role but very sweet

An interesting and sad story, thank you. It would appear that mother and daughters died together judging from the burial entry. Could this be as a result of plague or some other fatal contagious disease, rather than murder? Disease must have been rife in the Tower, depending on exactly where they were incarcerated.

Know something of Catrin. Her sister in law was Elizabeth Mortimer wife of Henry Percy, also known as Hotspur who perished at Shrewsbury. A sad end. Amazing that Owain Glyn Dwr escaped and his whereabouts are unknown. Thank you Nathen.
