I’ve loved being on Substack over the last year, sharing with you my thoughts and opinions, news and views, but in a more structured way than just throwing it out there on social media whilst out walking or in the gym. It’s been fun, and I’m so pleased 3,000 of you have come along for the ride so far. I hope this is one platform that doesn’t go the way of the rest as it really has everything a modern-day public historian or writer needs to do what they do.
And I must say, I get particularly excited when I see more BIG NAMES join, bringing their expertise to us all and helping raise the awareness of this new outlet for historians – and none come bigger than the wonderful
, who this past week has begun publishing here - if you haven’t already, give her sub ‘My Life in the Past’ a follow HERE. We just know she has exciting things to share with us in the months to come.I made my TV debut back in 2017 featuring on one of Lucy’s superb programmes (British History’s Biggest Fibs) and have been a fan before and of course since. So, it is with great excitement we have both decided to trial a new Substack feature, just for you – live video. And it’s going to be the biggest topic we can discuss - THE PRINCES IN THE TOWER!
How does it work?
Substack Live seems straight forward enough – at the specified time, we will go live on the Substack app, and if you are a subscriber, you should receive a notification to join us. *YOU WILL NEED THE SUBSTACK APP* to view on your phones, rather than on desktop, but once you join, it is interactive and you’ll be able to ask questions.
When?
We will go live on Sunday 26 January at 7pm (UK time). We hope you join us, and if it’s a success, maybe we’ll do more! So spread the word!
I'm really enjoying this series with Lucy. A different take on many significant times in history. The Princes in the Tower episode was great! 😃
I am so looking forward to the event on the Princes in the Tower next week! Every thought, theory or even a conspiracy or two.
